Make mozzarella. Chat up ‘World’s Best’ chef. Eat messy barbecue.

Food adventures can be as floating as an amuse bouche or as lasting as that culinary a-ha moment that inspires a new favorite recipe. I have found them at pop-up dinners, green markets, along the aisles of eclectic food shops, at farms and food halls.

Luckily, there’s no shortage of such adventures in Palm Beach County, where creative chefs, farmers, shopkeepers, entrepreneurs and hospitality folk seek opportunities to explore their fancies.

Farm dinner with ‘World’s Best’ chef

World-acclaimed chef Mauro Colagreco focuses on locally grown organic ingredients at his restaurants across the world, including Florie's at the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach.

Michelin-starred chef Mauro Colagreco, whose south of France restaurant earned the top spot on the prestigious “World’s 50 Best” list in 2019, will take his talents to Swank Farm in Loxahatchee Groves next Friday. Colagreco will be in town to headline a series of events at his only US-based restaurant, Florie’s at the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach.

The May 20 farm dinner begins at Florie’s lounge with a Champagne toast after which diners will be driven to Swank Farm, where Colagreco will create a three-course dinner at Swank’s pole barn.
